A Perfect Ending to an Imperfect Day

Standard

After a long day of doctor visits, work, and watching an old friend move on to a new chapter in his life, I have the joyful privilege of sitting in the Logon Cafe’ in Beaumont, Texas, listening to my daughter sing with the Night & Day Orchestra.  What pride and joy has filled this mom’s heart tonight.

Thank you Lord for the blessings of life.  Especially for my sweet Mary!

Happy Mother’s Day

Standard

I was blessed to have a wonderful Christian momma, and later, I was blessed to have a child.  Thank God for the wonderful gift of life.  God bless moms in an extra special way today!

Momma

Standard

Eight years ago today, my mom left this earth and all of her pain and disease and went to live in Heaven where she has a new pain-free, disease-free body.  The destination, while wonderful to finally be in the presence of Jesus, is often the end of a long, painful journey on this earth.  It will be wonderful to all be reunited some day.

Beverly J. Knight – gone but not forgotten.

I love you, Momma!

Friends 1.1

Standard

There is nothing that compares to a good friend.   A true friend.  A friend who listens to and prays for you.  The kind of friend who would bail you out of jail with no questions asked.  Friends are priceless treasures.  Take time to be with your friends….life is short and tomorrow may never come.  I am thankful for the friends that God has placed in my life?

Proverbs 18:24

New International Version (NIV)

24 One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Perspective 1.1

Standard

Our perspective can change us.  How we view the task or problem we are facing or the blessing we are receiving makes such a difference in our lives.  Our perspective changes us not our circumstances…but when we are changed it seems to change our present situation.

This is the day that the Lord has made.  I will rejoice and be glad in it!
